Virtual Voicemail overview

Vonage’s Virtual Voicemail gives each extension its own virtual voicemail box, offering secure access to messages via the Vonage Business Communications Mobile App, your phone or your User Portal.* Programme the Virtual Voicemail box to send business voicemails to email, play different messages when you’re out of the office or for specific callers and more.

How Virtual Voicemail works

Choose from four customisable business voicemail greetings:
  • Name greeting: This greeting is available if your Virtual Voicemail account is configured with a dial-by-name directory through the Virtual Receptionist. Callers dial the first few letters of a first or last name and the name greeting plays to assure they’ve dialled correctly.
  • Unavailable greeting: Callers receive this greeting if you do not answer your phone when you’re out of the office or on another call.
  • Busy greeting: If your phone is set to “Do Not Disturb,” or if you receive a call when all other lines are in use, this greeting plays.
  • Vacation greeting: When its box is ticked in the User Portal, this greeting replaces the unavailable and busy greetings.
