That’s My App; Do Wear It out

If there’s any theme that’s appropriate for the single most massively attended tech event of the year, it’s connectedness. Dreamforce this year has been all about making the workplace more agile, mobile and seamlessly tied together. And one of the biggest and most exciting ways the enterprise is doing that is with wearables.

According to Cornerstone OnDemand’s recent report, 66 percent of tomorrow’s workforce (AKA millenials) are already interested in using wearable devices in the workplace. It’s an inevitable – and incredible – step forward. Just like cloud and mobility have unlocked totally new possibilities for what “going to work” could look like, wearable tech will empower workers in ways that were never conceivable before.

Salesforce launched the industry’s first initiative by announcing Salesforce Wear, a marketplace for wearable apps built on the Salesforce platform, and NewVoiceMedia was among the first partner apps chosen to be featured.

ContactWorld for Wearables is one of the coolest things we’ve worked on. It enables sales and service people to access customer data from anywhere so they can deliver lightning fast, personalized service informed by customized data, instantly. Got an Apple watch? You can make your customers happier. And this is just the beginning. We’re thrilled to help our customers glide seamlessly into this brave new business world.

As Dreamforce wraps up and we start speculating about what it all means for the future of enterprise computing, there’s nothing more exciting to us than being a part of it.
